InfrastructureDG completed a traffic analysis to evaluate a traditional signalized intersection and multilane roundabout option for the intersection of Cliff Avenue and Willow Street in Harrisburg, SD. This intersection sees relatively low volumes of traffic during non-peak hours, so the multilane roundabout was chosen to move forward to final design and construction. Project scope elements included horizontal and vertical geometrics, water main, storm drainage, and lighting, pavement markings, traffic control, private utility coordination, and public involvement. This is the first multilane roundabout constructed in the state of South Dakota.
